Convention App

We are happy to announce that the AGO 2016 convention app is now available for download! This app includes all the information you need to navigate the convention events, learn about everyone involved, find specifics about the Houston concert venues and local options, and get further engaged in all that is happening from June 19-23.

WHY an app and WHAT is it for?
Check out the following two convention blogs to learn why an app is being added as part of a broader technology-enabled strategy.

  • WIFI or cellular data connection is required for download. After download, all of the app content is available without connection. To receive app updates and use the interactive capabilities you will need a WIFI or cellular data connection.

  • Important Tips for First Use
  • When you first open the app, you will be taken to a splash page that will remain for 5-10 seconds and then take you into the home page.
  • Tap the menu icon (3 horizontal white lines at the top left) to access the app content.
  • NOTE:  The app must "refresh" when you first open it in order to capture the current version. It should start to update on its own. If it does not, tap the refresh icon (Apple:  2 arrows in a circle; Android:  3 white vertical dots) at the top right (Apple: menu page; Android: all other pages). The refresh ensures any recent updates to the app are available to you and should occur each time you open the app if connected to a WIFI or cellular data connection. After download, it is not necessary to be connected to access the non-interactive content.
  • You may need to scroll/swipe down the menu to see all of the topic areas. Tap any to see what’s available.
  • When adding events to My Schedule, be sure that you select the events you registered for. An email was sent May 27 to all registrants with their selected concerts. Workshops were not pre-registered so you may select as preferred along with any other applicable events and transportation schedule items.
